Dorset Event Photography - Hire a Pro

We’ve recently moved out from bustling London to Dorset and I've decided to focus some of my street photography skills on events, weddings, corporate functions, birthdays, trade shows in and around Dorset.

For those of you who don't know me, my name's Nico and I am an internationally renowned street photographer and often work with huge brands who keep coming back for more. My work has been published in TimeOut, The Guardian, Huffington Post and many more.

In the past few years I had specialised in commissions from top brands such as Adidas who commissioned me already four times, popular London food market Street Feast, automotive companies Peugeot and Citroen… but I also happened to photograph a large number of events.

My successful background in candid street photography does indeed lend itself perfectly to this genre as an increasing number of clients are looking for a more natural and honest representation of the event, whether it is a wedding, a birthday or a corporate function.

I was actually hired twice by Match.com (the dating website) to shoot two of their campaigns because of my ability to shoot total stranger in the street and put them at ease immediately.

Candid street photographers such as me, through the necessity of not being seen by the person we photograph are the ultimate event photographer for anyone looking to document the day. We’re a bit like (but less dangerous than) ninjas with special powers of invisibility and we work fast with what light is available, however challenging it can be.

It’s far nicer if people stop paying attention to the photographer and can be themselves, not only to enjoy the event but it also makes for much better photos, more like a documentary, more realistic.

And so, since moving to Dorset, event photography has become one of my most requested offering and with warmer days approaching I’m gearing myself for a busy season ahead in the South West.

People who hire me are usually looking for something fresh, a little out of the ordinary and moreover: honest photography, photography which shows the day as it was, not a day filled with silly poses which do not actually represent the day but more of an ideal vision of what it could have been.

Real smiles, no fakes...

More smiles, can't see the camera!

More smiles, can't see the camera!

Take weddings for example. When we got married back in 2015 the last thing we wanted was to look back at photos five, ten, twenty years later and not relate to them. I find it’s what happens with an excessive amount of posed / awkward and definitely terribly cheesy photos.

So get in touch if you are looking for friendly professional Dorset event photography captured by an internationally renowned street photographer… it may well be your best decision, one that’ll save you from a nightmare of bad photography and an angry mother-in-law or boss.

Still unsure? why not read what my clients have to say about my work and professional ethics?

I will speak to you soon I'm sure...
